How the Nissan LEAF® works

The Nissan LEAF is an all-electric vehicle. Its motor doesn’t require gas at all, and it's not a hybrid either. Instead, the motor is powered by a large lithium-ion battery mounted along the floor of the car. Charging it is as simple as charging your phone: plug it in and let it go.
